In this episode, Pastor Jay Lee interviews special guest Val of @thewabisabimama to discuss the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi which means to find beauty in imperfection and how that has been a source of encouragement for Val journeying through a child with colic, post-partum depression, and PTSD. This interview will help you with some of the pressures we face as parents from social media and even, our Christian faith.
Guest bio:
Val is the mom of a busy preschooler and lives in the San Francisco Bay Area. As a first time mom, she struggled with postpartum depression. On her Instagram account @thewabisabimama, she shares transparently about the ups and downs of motherhood. She also loves to share ways her family connects with and celebrates their Asian cultures.
